Before coming in for your appointment:

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time to fill out paperwork. Eat a small meal at least 30 minutes before your treatment. Wear loose clothing, or clothing you might wear to the gym. Bring any Xrays, blood work, or reports that may be helpful for diagnosis.

What to expect during your treatment:

The first part of the treatment is evaluation. The practitioner will ask you questions, look at your tongue, feel your pulse, and may perform various tests to help come up with a Chinese medical diagnosis. After coming up with a diagnosis the practitioner will decide on a treatment plan and will discuss it with you to make sure you are on board. The practitioner then comes up with a treatment protocol as to which points will be used for treatments. The needles will be inserted and the practitioner will leave the room. The needles stay in anywhere from 15-30 minutes. After you enjoyed your 15-30 minutes of peace, the practitioner comes back into the room, pulls the needles and tells you suggestions and homework for you to do during the time between treatments. The patient leaves the room and books his/her appointments according to the practitioners treatment plan.
